เขตเศรษฐกิจยุโรป, Example:กลุ่มประชาคมเศรษฐกิจยุโรป (ดู EEC)ที่รวมตัวกับกลุ่มสมาคมเขตการค้าเสรีแห่งยุโรป (ดู EFTA) ในรูปของตลาดร่วม โดยที่กลุ่มสมาคมเขตการค้าเสรีแห่งยุโรป อยู่ใกล้ชิดโดยสภาพภูมิศาสตร์และได้รับอิทธิพลทางเศรษฐกิจ จากกลุ่มประเทศประชาคมเศรษฐกิจยุโรปมาก การรวมตัวเป็นตลาดเดียวของสมาคมเศรษฐกิจยุโรปซึ่งส่งผลต่อการค้าของกลุ่ม สมาคมเขตการค้าเสรีแห่งยุโรปมาก กลุ่มสมาคมเขตการค้าเสรีจึงได้เจรจาและลงนามกับประชาคมเศรษฐกิจยุโรป ในความตกลงว่าด้วยเขตเศรษฐกิจยุโรปเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2535 โดยรวมตัวในรูปของตลาดร่วม ไม่มีความผูกพันทางการเมืองหรือสถาบันสาระสำคัญของความตกลง คือ 1) ให้มีการเคลื่อนย้ายสินค้าต่างๆ ทุกชนิด ยกเว้นสินค้าเกษตรกรรมให้เป็นไปโดยเสรีปราศจากอุปสรรคทางการค้า 2) ให้มีการขายาความร่วมมือในด้านงานวิจัยและพัฒนาในด้านต่างๆ ให้มากขึ้น 3) ให้มีการปรับปรุงระบบกฎหมายและระเบียบต่างๆ ให้เป็นไปในแนวทางเดียวกัน เพื่อประโยชน์ในการนำมาบังคับใช้ร่วมกัน ทั้งนี้ ได้ตั้งเป้าหมายว่าจะสามารถดำเนินการตามความตกลงได้ภายใน พ.ศ. 2538 [สิ่งแวดล้อม]
ประชาคมเศรษฐกิจยุโรป ประชาคมยุโรป, Example:กำเนิดจากการรวมตัวทางเศรษฐกิจของประเทศ ในยุโรปตะวันตกตามสนธิสัญญากรุงโรม (Treaty of Rome) เมื่อ พ.ศ. 2500 โดยแรกเริ่มมีสมาชิกเพียง 6 ประเทศ ได้แก่ ฝรั่งเศส อิตาลี เยอรมนีตะวันตก เบลเยียม เนเธอร์แลนด์ และลักเซมเบิร์ก มีประเทศที่เข้าเป็นสมาชิกภายหลัง ได้แก่ เดนมาร์ก ไอร์แลนด์ อังกฤษ กรีซ โปตุเกส และสเปน ประชาคมยุโรปได้รวมตัวกันเป็นตลาดเดียว (ดู Single Europe) ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2536 และเรียกกลุ่มของตัวว่าสหภาพยุโรปนับแต่นั้นมา เป้าหมายสุดท้ายของประชาคมยุโรปอยู่ที่การรวมตัวเป็นสหภาพยุโรป โดยมีขั้นตอน ดังนี้ ขั้นตอนแรก เป็นสหภาพศุลกากร ดำเนินการแล้วเสร็จเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2511 ขั้นตอนที่สอง เป็นตลาดยุโรปเดียว เริ่มดำเนินการเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2530 มีผลบังคับใช้ตั้งแต่ พ.ศ. 2535 ขั้นตอนที่สาม เป็นสหภาพเศรษฐกิจและการเงิน ขั้นตอนสุดท้าย เป็นสหภาพยุโรปที่มีระบบเศรษฐกิจ นโยบายต่างประเทศ และนโยบายความมั่นคงเดียวกัน [สิ่งแวดล้อม]
สมาคมการค้าเสรียุโรป, Example:ก่อตั้งขึ้นตามสนธิสัญญาสต็อกโฮล์ม (Treaty of Stockholm) เมื่อ พ.ศ. 2503 มีสมาชิกแรกเริ่ม 7 ประเทศ ได้แก่ อังกฤษ สวีเดน นอร์เวย์ เดนมาร์ก ออสเตรีย สวิตเซอร์แลนด์ และโปรตุเกส ต่อมา อังกฤษ เดนมาร์ก และโปรตุเกส ได้ลาออกไปเข้าร่วมกับ กลุ่มประชาคมเศรษฐกิจยุโรป และได้มีประเทศฟินแลนด์ ไอซ์แลนด์ และลิกเตนสไตน์เป็นสมาชิกเพิ่มเติม มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อก่อตั้งเขตการค้าเสรี (ดู Free Trade Area) ในระหว่างประเทศสมาชิกโดยเน้นการค้าและ อุตสาหกรรมเป็นส่วนใหญ่ ปัจจุบัน (ปี 2538) มีสมาชิกเพียง 3 ประเทศ คือ สวิตเซอร์แลนด์ ไอร์แลนด์ และลิกเตนสไตน์ เนื่องจากนอร์เวย์ สวีเดน ฟินแลนด์ และออสเตรีย ได้ลาออกไปเข้าร่วมกับสหภาพยุโรป เมื่อ พ.ศ. 2538 [สิ่งแวดล้อม]

สหภาพยุโรป สหภาพยุโรปได้มีวิวัฒนาการมาเป็นลำดับ นับแต่การก่อตั้งประชาคมถ่านหินและเหล็กกล้า (European Coal and Steal Community) ในปี พ.ศ. 2494 ต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2500 ได้มีการจัดทำสนธิสัญญากรุงโรม (Treaty of Rome) ได้มีการก่อตั้งประชาคมเศรษฐกิจยุโรป (European Economic Community : EEC) และประชาคมพลังงานปรมาณู (Euratom) ในช่วงเวลานั้นจึงเรียกชื่อกันว่าประชาคมเศรษฐกิจยุโรป (EEC) ต่อมาได้มีการรวม 3 ประชาคมเข้าด้วยกันและได้มีกฎหมายยุโรปตลาดเดียว (Single European Act) ซึ่งมีผลบังคับใช้ในปี พ.ศ. 2530 เพื่อให้ประชาคมเศรษฐกิจยุโรปเข้าสู่ขั้นตอนการเป็นตลาดร่วมและตลาดเดียวที่ สมบูรณ์ในปี พ.ศ. 2535 ดังนั้นในทางปฏิบัติจึงเปลี่ยนมาเรียกชื่อเป็นประชาคมยุโรป (European Communities : EC) ตั้งแต่ พ.ศ. 2530 ต่อมาเมื่อสนธิสัญญามาสทริชท์ (Maastricht Treaty) มีผลบังคับใช้เมื่อวันที่ 1 พฤศจิกายน 2536 ซึ่งได้กำหนดเป้าหมายและขั้นตอนให้ประชาคมยุโรปพัฒนาไปสู่การเป็นสหภาพยุโรป จึงได้เปลี่ยนมาเรียกชื่อในทางปฏิบัติว่า สหภาพยุโรป (European Union : EU) ตั้งแต่ พ.ศ. 2536 เป็นต้นมา ปัจจุบันมีสมาชิก 15 ประเทศ ได้แก่ สหราชอาณาจักร ฝรั่งเศส เยอรมนี อิตาลี สเปน โปรตุเกส เนเธอร์แลนด์ เบลเยี่ยม ลักเซมเบิร์ก เดนมาร์ก สวีเดน ไอร์แลนด์ กรีซ ฟินแลนด์ ออสเตรีย [การทูต]
คือองค์การความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจของยุโรป สัญญาที่ก่อตั้งองค์การนี้ได้มีการลงนามกัน ณ กรุงปารีส เมื่อวันที่ 16 เมษายน ค.ศ.1948 โดยรัฐบาลของประเทศออสเตรีย เบลเยี่ยม เดนมาร์ก ฝรั่งเศส กรีซ ไอซ์แลนด์ ไอร์แลนด์ อิตาลี ลักแซมเบิร์ก นอร์เวย์ เนเธอร์แลนด์ ปอร์ตุเกส อังกฤษ สวีเดน สวิตเซอร์แลนด์ ตุรกี โดยแม่ทัพของฝรั่งเศส อังกฤษ และสหรัฐอเมริกาที่ประจำอยู่ในเขตยึดครองในเยอรมนี (หลังเสร็จสงครามโลกครั้งที่สอง)จุดประสงค์สำคัญที่สุดขององค์การนี้คือ ต้องการให้ทวีปยุโรปมีภาวะเศรษฐกิจกลับคืนมาใหม่อย่างมั่นคง ด้วยการร่วมมือกันทางเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศสมาชิก สำนักงานใหญ่ขององค์การนี้ตั้งอยู่ ณ กรุงปารีส ประเทศฝรั่งเศสอย่างไรก็ดี บัดนี้ได้มีองค์การตั้งขึ้นใหม่แทนองค์การความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจของยุโรป เรียกว่า องค์การร่วมมือและพัฒนาทางเศรษฐกิจ (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development ) หรือ OECD สำหรับสัญญาจัดตั้งองค์การโอดีซีดีนี้ ได้มีการลงนามกัน ณ กรุงปารีส เมื่อวันที่ 14 ธันวาคม ค.ศ. 1960 โดยรัฐบาลของประเทศออสเตรีย เบลเยี่ยม แคนาดา เดนมาร์ก ฝรั่งเศส เยอรมนี กรีซ ไอซ์แลนด์ ไอร์แลนด์ อิตาลี ลักแซมเบิร์ก นอร์เวย์ เนเธอร์แลนด์ ปอร์ตุเกส อังกฤษ สเปน สวีเดน สวิตเซอร์แลนด์ ตุรกี อังกฤษ และสหรัฐอเมริกา สัญญาดังกล่าวมีผลบังคับใช้ เมื่อวันที่ 30 กันยายน ค.ศ. 1961จุดประสงค์สำคัญขององค์การโออีซีดี มีดังนี้1. เพื่อให้บรรดาประเทศสมาชิกได้มีความเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจ มีแรงงาน อาชีพ และมาตรฐานการครองชีพให้มากที่สุด ขณะเดียวกันก็พยายามรักษาเสถียรภาพทางการคลังไว้เพื่อเป็นการเกื้อกูลต่อการ พัฒนาเศรษฐกิจของโลก2. ระหว่างการพัฒนาทางเศรษฐกิจ ให้ประเทศสมาชิกมีโอกาสขยายตัวทางเศรษฐกิจอย่างมั่นคง รวมทั้งในประเทศที่มิได้เป็นสมาชิกด้วย3. ต้องการมีส่วนเกื้อกูลต่อการขยายตัวทางการค้าในรูปพหุภาคี และปราศจากการกีดกันแต่อย่างใด ตามพันธกรณีระหว่างประเทศองค์การสำคัญในองค์การโออีซีดีคือคณะมนตรี ( Council ) ซึ่งประกอบด้วยประเทศสมาชิกทั้งหมด มีคณะกรรมการบริหารรวมทั้งเลขาธิการ สำนักงานใหญ่ขององค์การตั้งอยู่ที่กรุงปารีส ประเทศฝรั่งเศส [การทูต]
องค์การเพื่อความมั่นคงและความร่วมมือในยุโรป เป็นองค์กรที่ให้ความสำคัญกับการเสริมสร้างความมั่นคงในลักษณะรอบด้าน กล่าวคือ ด้านเศรษฐกิจ การเมือง และสังคม โดยดำเนินนโยบายป้องกันทางการทูต (preventive diplomacy) มีประเทศสมาชิกจำนวน 55 ประเทศ ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2517 ไทยได้สมัครเข้าเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางความร่วมมือของ OSCE ในปี พ.ศ. 2543 [การทูต]
