วันที่ระลึกทหารผ่านศึกออสเตรเลียและนิวซีแลนด์ เมื่อวันที่ 25 เมษายน 2458 หน่วยปฏิบัติการร่วมของกองทัพบกออสเตรเลียและนิวซีแลนด์ได้ยกพลขึ้นบกบนคาบ สมุทรกาลิโปลี (Gallipoli) ช่องแคบดาร์ดาแนล (Dardanelles) ประเทศตุรกีเพื่อเปิดเส้นทางเดินเรือให้กับฝ่ายสัมพันธมิตรไปสู่ทะเลดำใน สงครามโลกครั้งที่ 1 ทำให้ทหารออสเตรเลียและนิวซีแลนด์เสียชีวิตเป็นจำนวนมาก ทั้งสองประเทศจึงถือเอาวันที่ 25 เมษายนของทุก ๆ ปี เป็นวันที่ระลึกและจัดพิธีไว้อาลัยแก่ทหารผ่านศึกในสมรภูมิครั้งนั้นและทหาร ผ่านศึกที่เสียชีวิตในสมรภูมิอื่น ๆ ด้วย [การทูต]

Corps Diplomatique หรือ Diplomatic Corps

คณะทูตานุทูตที่ประจำอยู่ในนครหลวง (Capital) ของประเทศ ซึ่งจะมีหัวหน้าคณะทูตพร้อมด้วยเจ้าหน้าที่ทางการทูตใน คณะทูต เจ้าหน้าที่ทางการทูตในคณะทูตนั้นจะประกอบไปด้วย อัครราชทูต (Minister) อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา (Minister Counselor) และที่ปรึกษา (Counselor) ซึ่งอาจจะมีคนเดียวหรือหลายคน นอกจากนี้ มีเลขานุการทางการทูตอีกหลายคน คือ เลขานุการเอก โท ตรี และตามปกติยังมีผู้ช่วยทูต (Attaché) อีกหลายคนซึ่งมีฐานะทางการทูต (Diplomatic status) คือผู้ช่วยทูตฝ่ายทหาร (บก เรือ และอากาศ) ผู้ช่วยทูตฝ่ายพาณิชย์ (Commercial Attaché) ผู้ช่วยทูตฝ่ายการแถลงข่าว (Press Attaché) และผู้ช่วยฝ่ายอื่น ๆ ซึ่งกระทรวงทบวงกรมของรัฐบาล (นอกจากกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ) เป็นฝ่ายแต่งตั้งข้าราชการของตนไปประจำในคณะทูต รวมทั้งเจ้าหน้าที่อื่น ๆ ซึ่งมีฐานะทางการทูตด้วยในนครหลวงของประเทศใดก็ตาม ผู้ที่ทำหน้าที่เป็นหัวหน้าคณะทูตานุทูต (Head หรือ Dean of the Diplomatic Corps) จะได้แก่ผู้แทนทางการทูตอาวุโสที่ได้ประจำการอยู่ในประเทศนั้นเป็นเวลานาน ที่สุด ยกเว้นแต่ในบางประเทศ จะถือเอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนองค์สมเด็จพระสันตะปาปา (Papal Nuncio) เป็นหัวหน้าคณะทูตานุทูตตลอดไป โดยไม่คำนึงถึงเรื่องอาวุโสแต่อย่างใด เช่น ฟิลิปปินส์ [การทูต]

Dean (หรือ Doyen) of the Diplomatic Corps
