วิทยานิพนธ์, Example:บทนิพนธ์ที่ผู้เรียบเรียงยกเอาหัวข้อเรื่องใดหัวข้อเรื่องหนึ่งขึ้นวิจัยหรือพรรณนาขยายความ โดยเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการศึกษาตามหลักสูตรปริญญาโทและปริญญาเอก วิทยานิพนธ์มีรูปแบบและมีส่วนประกอบ 3 ส่วน ดังนี้ 1. ส่วนประกอบตอนต้น ( Preliminary Section) 2. ส่วนเนื้อความ (Text Section or Body of Text) 3. ส่วนอ้างอิงหรือส่วนประกอบตอนท้าย (References Section) 1. ส่วนประกอบดอนต้น (Preliminary Section) ส่วนนี้รวมตั้งแต่ปกหน้าไปจนถึงหน้าท้ายสุดก่อนส่วนเนื้อความ มีส่วนประกอบดังต่อไปนี้ 1.1 ปก มีข้อมูลประกอบเฉพาะของวิทยานิพนธ์ คือ ชื่อเรื่องของวิทยานิพนธ์ ชื่อผู้เขียนวิทยานิพนธ์ ข้อมูลที่แจ้งว่าวิทยานิพนธ์ดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการศึกษาปริญญาใด ระดับการศึกษาใด ชื่อปริญญา ภาควิชา สถาบันการศึกษา ปีที่สำเร็จ และการอนุมัติปริญญา 1.2 ปกใน มีข้อมูลเช่นเดียวกับปก จะมีทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ หรือภาษาต่างประเทศอื่นๆ 1.3 หน้าอนุมัติ หรือหน้าตรวจรับรอง (Approval page)จะมีข้อมูลหัวข้อวิทยานิพนธ์ ผู้เขียน ภาควิชา อาจารย์ที่ปรึกษา ข้อความอนุมัติและลายเซ็นต์คณบดีบัณฑิตวิทยาลัย และคณะกรรมการสอบวิทยานิพนธ์ 1.4 บทคัดย่อ หรือสาระสังเขป (Abstract) ประกอบด้วยข้อความสรุปเนื้อหาของวิทยานิพนธ์ที่สั้นกระทัดรัด ชัดเจน ทำให้ผู้อ่านทราบถึงเนื้อหาของวิทยานิพนธ์อย่างรวดเร็ว มีทั้งบทคัดย่อภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ หรือภาษาต่างประเทศอื่นๆ 1.5กิตติกรรมประกาศ (Acknowledgements) คือ ข้อความแสดงความขอบคุณบุุคคล สถาบัน และ/หรือหน่วยงานที่มีส่วนช่วยเหลือ ให้ความร่วมมือในการค้นคว้าเพื่อเขียนวิทยานิพนธ์ ตลอดทั้งคณะกรรมการสอบ ผู้สนับสนุนเงินทุนวิจัย ผู้ให้ข้อคิดเห็น ให้ข้อมูล และผู้ที่อนุญานให้ใช้ข้อเขียนหรือเครื่องมือในการวิจัย 1.6 สารบัญ (Contents) เป็นรายการที่แสดงถึงส่วนประกอบสำคัญทั้งหมดของวิทยานิพนธ์ 1.7 สารบัญตาราง (List of Tables) (ถ้ามี) เป็นส่วนที่แจ้งตำแหน่งของตารางทั้งหมดที่มีอยู่ในวิทยานิพนธ์ พิมพ๋เรียงลำดับต่อจากส่วนสารบัญ 1.8 สารบัญภาพหรือสารบัญแผนภูมิ (List of Figures or List of Illustrations) (ถ้ามี) เป็นส่วนที่แจ้งตำแหน่งหน้าของรูปภาพ (รูปภาพ แผนที่ แผนภูมิ กราฟ ฯลฯ) ทั้งหมดที่มีอยู่ในวิทยานิพนธ์ 1.9 คำอธิบายสัญลักษณ์และคำย่อ (List of Abbreviations) (ถ้ามี) เป็นส่วนที่อธิบายถึงสัญลักษณ์และคำย่อต่างๆ ที่ใช้ในวิทยานิพนธ์ 2. ส่วนเนื้อความหรือเนื้อเรื่อง (Body of Text) ประกอบด้วย บทนำ งานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง วิธีดำเนินการวิจัย ผลการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล สรุป อภิปรายผล และข้อเสนอแนะ 3. ส่วนอ้างอิง (Refereces Section) เป็นส่วนท้ายเล่ม ประกอบด้วย บรรณานุกรม ภาคผนวก และประวัติผู้เขียนวิทยานิพนธ์ รายการอ้างอิง พจนานุกรมฉบับราชบัณฑิตยสถาน พ.ศ. 2552. กรุงเทพฯ : ราชบัณฑิตยสถาน, 2546.
