วงจรรวมวงจรเบ็ดเสร็จใช้ตัวย่อว่า IC (อ่านว่า ไอซี) เป็นวงจรที่สร้างขึ้นครบชุดด้วยเกล็ดซิลิคอน ประกอบเป็นชิ้นส่วนต่าง ๆ ของวงจร เช่น ทรานซิสเตอร์ (transistor) ไดโอดส์ (diodes) เชื่อมต่อเข้าด้วยกันเป็นวงจรอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ วงจรเบ็ดเสร็จชนิดนี้ใช้กันมากในปัจจุบัน คอมพิวเตอร์ในยุคต้น ๆ ใช้วงจรแยกชิ้นเป็นหลัก เหตุที่นิยมใช้วงจรเบ็ดเสร็จกันมาก ก็เพราะขนาดเล็กกว่า ราคาถูกกว่า ใช้กระแสไฟน้อยกว่า และสามารถปฏิบัติงานได้เร็วกว่า
