โครงการสิ่งมหัศจรรย์แห่งสุวรรณภูมิ หมายถึง โครงการพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยวระหว่างกลุ่มประเทศอนุภูมิภาคที่นับถือศาสนาพุทธ อันประกอบด้วย ไทย ลาว กัมพูชา และพม่า โดยร่วมกันจัดรายการนำเที่ยวในโบราณสถานที่สำคัญต่าง ๆ ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นสิ่งมหัศจรรย์ของ 4 ประเทศ ได้แก่ วัดพระศรีรัตนศาสดารามในกรุงเทพฯ นครวัดในกัมพูชา โบราณสถานในพุกาม/มัณฑะเลย์ในพม่า และแขวงหลวงพระบางในลาว เพื่อที่จะดึงดูดชาวต่างชาติให้มาสนใจในดินแดนแห่งนี้ และนำมาซึ่งการพัฒนาสถานที่ดังกล่าว รวมทั้งยังจะเป็นการเชื่อมโยงการเดินทางระหว่าง 4 ประเทศอย่างสมบูรณ์ โครงการนี้เสนอโดย ฯพณฯ ดร. สุรินทร์ พิศสุวรรณ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ และได้รับความเห็นชอบจากรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศลาว กัมพูชา และพม่า เมื่อวันที่ 27 พฤศจิกายน 2542 ในระหว่างการประชุมสุดยอดอาเซียนอย่างไม่เป็นทางการ ครั้งที่ 3 ที่กรุงมะนิลา [การทูต]
