หนังสือบันเทิงคดี, Example:หนังสือบันเทิงคดี เป็นหนังสือที่เขียนขึ้นจากจินตนาการของผู้เขียน ซึ่งต้องการให้ความบันเทิงและความเพลิดเพลินแก่ผู้อ่านเป็นหลัก อาจสอดแทรกความรู้และความคิดต่างๆ ไว้ด้วย แบ่งเป็นประเภทต่างๆ ได้ดังนี้ <p>1 นวนิยาย เป็นหนังสือที่ผู้เขียน เขียนขึ้นเพื่อให้เกิดความบันเทิงแก่ผู้อ่าน โดยไม่เน้นความเป็นจริงหรือเนื้อหาสาระ <p>2 เรื่องสั้น เป็นหนังสือที่ผู้เขียน เขียนขึ้นตามวัตถุประสงค์เช่นเดียวกับนวนิยาย แต่มีเนื้อหาน้อยกว่านวนิยาย มักรวมหลายเรื่อง อยู่ในเล่มเดียวกัน <p>3 หนังสือสำหรับเด็กและเยาวชน เป็นหนังสือที่จัดทำขึ้นสำหรับเด็กโดยเฉพาะ ส่วนใหญ่มีเนื้อหาง่ายๆ หรือ เป็นหนังสือ ภาพการ์ตูน หนังสือประเภทนี้จะให้ความรู้ คติสอนใจ และสนองความต้องการอยากรู้อยากเห็นของเด็ก [บรรณารักษ์และสารสนเทศศาสตร์]
