pedipalpus

n.; pl. Pedipalpi [ NL. See Pes, and Palpus. ] (Zool.) One of the second pair of mouth organs of arachnids. In some they are leglike, but in others, as the scorpion, they terminate in a claw. [ 1913 Webster ]
