Scioptic

a. [ Gr. &unr_; shadow + &unr_; belonging to sight: cf. F. scioptique. See Optic. ] (Opt.) Of or pertaining to an optical arrangement for forming images in a darkened room, usually called scioptic ball. [ 1913 Webster ]
