Lithodomus

‖n. [ NL. See Lithodome. ] (Zool.) A genus of elongated bivalve shells, allied to the mussels, and remarkable for their ability to bore holes for shelter, in solid limestone, shells, etc. Called also Lithophagus. [ 1913 Webster ]
