ที่เกิดขึ้นในสังคมในลักษณะวันต่อวัน ทั้งข่าวในประเทศ ข่าวต่างประเทศ <p>ประวัติหนังสือพิมพ์ในประเทศไทย <p>การผลิตหนังสือพิมพ์ในประเทศไทย เริ่มต้นขึ้นตั้งแต่สมัยรัชกาลที่ 3 โดยหนังสือพิมพ์ฉบับแรก คือ บางกอกรีคอร์เดอร์ (The Bangkok Recorder) จัดพิมพ์โดย หมอบรัดเลย์ (Dr. Dan Beach Bradley, M.D.) มิชชันนารีชาวอเมริกัน พิมพ์ด้วยภาษาไทย และภาษาอังกฤษ แต่มีอายุได้ไม่ถึง 2 ปี ก็ต้องปิดกิจการลง จากนั้นก็มีหนังสือพิมพ์ออกมาอีกหลายฉบับ และมีกำหนดการออกที่แตกต่างกัน ต่อมาสมัยรัชกาลที่ 4 ทรงเป็นผู้จัดทำ หนังสือพิมพ์รายวันภาษาไทย ชื่อ ราชกิจจานุเบกษา เพื่อชี้แจงข่าวคลาดเคลื่อนที่ตีพิมพ์ในหนังสือพิมพ์ของหมอบรัดเลย์ และเพื่อแจ้งข่าวการบริหารพระราชภารกิจทางการเมือง จนในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 เริ่มมีหนังสือพิมพ์ภาษาไทยฉบับแรกที่เผยแพร่สู่ประชาชน ชื่อ ดรุโณวาท และมีหนังสือพิมพ์ที่ยอดจำหน่ายสูงมาก คือ ข่าวราชการ จนกระทั่งต้องมีระบบจัดส่ง ซึ่งกลายเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของกิจการไปรษณีย์ไทย ในยุคนี้วงการหนังสือพิมพ์ตื่นตัวมาก โดยมีการออกหนังสือพิมพ์ถึง 59 ชื่อ เรื่อยมาสมัยรัชกาลที่ 6 และ 7 กระทั่งสมัยรัชกาลที่ 8 หนังสือพิมพ์เริ่มถูกควบคุมโดยรัฐบาล และเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2501 เกิดรัฐประหาร นำโดย จอมพลสฤษดิ์ ธนะรัชต์ หนังสือพิมพ์ตกไปอยู่ภายใต้การควบคุมของประกาศคณะปฏิวัติ [ 2 ] <p>โดยทั่วไปสามารถแบ่งประเภทของหนังสือพิมพ์ ได้เป็น 2 ประเภท คือ ประชานิยม และ เพ่งคุณภาพ หนังสือพิมพ์ประเภทประชานิยม (Popular newspaper)มุ่งนำเสนอข่าวประเภทเร้าอารมณ์ เช่น ข่าวอาชญากรรม ข่าวอุบัติเหตุ ข่าวในแวดวงสังคมและบันเทิง เป็นต้น ซึ่งคนส่วนใหญ่ให้ความสนใจ ขณะที่หนังสือพิมพ์ประเภทเพ่งคุณภาพ (Quality newspaper) [acronym; the ?Network Window System?] The road not taken in window
systems, an elegant {PostScript}-based environment that would almost
certainly have won the standards war with {X} if it hadn't been
{proprietary} to Sun Microsystems. There is a lesson here that too many
software vendors haven't yet heeded. Many hackers insist on the
two-syllable pronunciations above as a way of distinguishing NeWS from
Usenet news (the {netnews} software).
