of Nereus, a nymph of the sea, fr. Nhrey`s Nereus, an ancient
sea god; akin to nhro`s wet, Skr. n[=a]ra water, cf. Gr.
na`ein to flow.]

Nereus, who were attendants upon Neptune, and were
