Hieratic \Hi`er*at"ic\, a. [L. hieraticus, Gr. "ieratiko`s; akin
to "iero`s sacred: cf. F. hi['e]ratique.]
Consecrated to sacred uses; sacerdotal; pertaining to
priests.
