The procedure opened this Wednesday, January 26 is accompanied by a six-month observation period to allow the IoT operator to find new buyers.

At the request of its CEO, Sigfox and its subsidiary Sigfox France, operator of the IoT network in France, are placed in receivership. The Toulouse Commercial Court opened proceedings on Wednesday January 26. A six-month observation period should make it possible to identify, thanks to the implementation of a disposal plan, new buyers with the capacity to work for the long-term development of Sigfox and to propose a continued jobs.

“The decision to place Sigfox under the protection of Justice was imposed, despite the effective support of shareholders, due to a slower adoption cycle than expected for its technology, the company said in a press release. In addition, the IoT sector has been marked by the Covid-19 crisis, which has slowed activity over the past two years, and an electronic component market that has been in short supply for several months. These factors have weighed heavily on the company’s financial situation and in particular its level of indebtedness, which today makes it difficult to accelerate the development of Sigfox and its world-renowned technology in an increasingly competitive market.”

This procedure will allow the Sigfox group to continue its commercial activities and to continue to meet the needs of its customers. Sigfox processes nearly 80 million messages daily generated by 20 million registered objects. 5,000 customers have already committed to deploying nearly 50 million connected objects. The operator announced in early January that it was embarking on the development of its first energy harvesting module in partnership with HT Micron, a supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, and Nowi, a semiconductor company based in the Netherlands. .

Solicited by the JDN, CEO Jeremy Prince did not wish to answer our questions immediately. We asked him last June about his priorities.

A calm child, observer and dreamer, Gaspard Ulliel loved solitude for a long time. To the great displeasure of his mother, who could not stand one of the traits of his personality.

The qualifiers were not lacking to describe Gaspard Ulliel. The 37-year-old actor was a man of “sparkling sweetness” for Xavier Dolan, “an exceptional actor” for Jean Castex, with a “benevolence and kindness” out of the ordinary, for Pierre Niney. After the announcement of his death, everyone hailed the modesty of Gaspard Ulliel, but also his magnetism and his talent. He was much more critical. “I have this selfishness that we find in artists, an almost inevitable navel-gazing that strikes us as a fatality”, he described in the columns of Marie Claire, in 2014, before explaining to adore loneliness. “I am an only child, loneliness built me, I appreciate it. For a long time I thought I could move forward alone, but I had to admit to myself that I needed others”, he confided.

“I continue to enjoy isolating myself, I like to take some distance from what I live”, he added. “Tormented” in his youth, Gaspard Ulliel explained that he had “took time to [s]’open up and evolve in society’. “I was a rather closed and morbidly shy little boy. I lived in a bubble”, confided this son of a stylist and a designer. This character “very calm, (…) dreamy and very slow”, did not really please his parents. “It infuriated my mother”, added Gaspard Ulliel to Marie-Claire. But this personality, the actor had it in him since his earliest childhood. “As a child, I could already spend hours observing an insect, dwelling on a detail or losing myself in the contemplation of a passer-by in the street”, he described to our colleagues.

Gaspard Ullliel has long been “permanently at odds with the people of [s]we age”

As he said, Gaspard Ulliel grew up “surrounded by adults” and has long been “permanently at odds with the people of [s]we age”. For a long time, the actor did not want to make a career in front of the cameras. “I imagined becoming an architect, without knowing exactly what this job meant. I had a taste for drawing and painting, my father always painted a lot. is the discipline where I got the best grades”, confided Gaspard Ulliel. It was finally at the cinema that Gaspard Ulliel was crowned with success. This Thursday, January 27, the world of the 7th Art will surely be upset to pay him a last tribute during his funeral, which will take place in the Saint-Eustache church in Paris.

[PASS VACCINAL] Since January 24, possession of the vaccine pass is now compulsory in order to access restaurants, cinemas, swimming pools and interregional transport in particular.

[Mise à jour du mercredi 26 janvier 2022 à 08h19] Are you sure you’re in the nails? The vaccination pass officially came into effect on Monday, January 24. It replaces the health pass implemented last summer. The stated objective is to encourage the most reluctant to get vaccinated. It is now necessary to justify a vaccination status, booster dose included, to access interregional transport, restaurants, leisure establishments, etc. (read below). The vaccination pass does not apply for access to the hospital in the event of an emergency. This new obligation concerns all the elderly over 16 years old. Nine million French people risk losing their vaccination pass on February 15 if they do not receive an injection of vaccine against the coronavirus, warned the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, at the microphone of LCI. Last week, the government also announced a schedule for easing health restrictions. From Wednesday February 2, “all sports and cultural equipment will be able to recover operation at full capacity”. Telework will no longer be mandatory on this date, but will remain recommended. Wearing a mask will no longer be required outdoors. From Wednesday February 16, consumption in transport will be authorized and nightclubs will be able to reopen. The health protocol in schools will be reassessed.

Where can you find your vaccination pass on Ameli?

After each injection, everyone must receive a certified certificate in paper format from the healthcare professional. This same document can be downloaded from the attestation-vaccin.ameli.fr website, by logging in via France connect (using your tax ID for example). You do not have no steps to take to convert your health pass into a vaccination pass. The QR code and the certificate remain valid.

“For people who are vaccinated and up to date, they have the automatic transformation of the health pass into a vaccination pass, there is nothing to do”, confirmed Olivier Véran at the microphone of LCI. “Their daily life has absolutely not changed. For people who have two doses, this is the main message that I would like to convey: there are still nine million French people who, on February 15, if they do not do not receive a vaccine injection could lose the benefit of the pass. That’s a lot. (…) As a reminder, the rule changes on February 15, you will have to be less than four months from the last injection to take the dose reminder. And that, I think not everyone has integrated. So I say, make an appointment, do not wait until the last minute.

Please note: Health Insurance also makes available on his website a simulator to determine the vaccine recall date, so as not to end up without a valid pass. “All people who make their recall will have a new QR Code which will become valid 7 days after their injection whether it is a 2nd, 3rd dose or more”, we explain.

The vaccination pass, from what age? 16 years old ?

The vaccination pass concerns all French people aged 16 or over. For minors aged 12 to 15, the health pass (a negative Covid test, a full vaccination certificate or a recovery certificate) will remain valid and compulsory to access the various activities (bars, restaurants, cinemas, etc.).

When will the vaccination pass be implemented?

The vaccination pass was implemented on Monday, January 24. As a reminder, the government initially expected effective implementation on January 15. The deadline was however postponed, the debates in Parliament being slowed down by the opposition. The left had also planned two different appeals to the Constitutional Council, in order to guarantee respect for “fundamental freedoms”, postponing the promulgation of the text of the law for a few days.

Are two doses enough to obtain the vaccination pass?

The vaccination pass requires having a complete vaccination status, booster dose included. Very concretely, you must therefore be in one of the following situations:

As recalled by the Health Insurance on its website, the protection of the vaccine decreases over time. This is the reason why it is necessary to carry out a recall. “The date of eligibility for the booster is calculated: either from the date of the last injection of the initial vaccination scheme (also called primary vaccination); or from the date of the positive test for Covid-19 if the person has had Covid-19 since his vaccination”, we recall. “The booster dose is to be carried out 3 months after the last injection or infection with Covid-19“.

Since January 15, 2022, the booster dose must have been taken within seven months of the last injection, in order to maintain a valid pass. As of February 15, this period will pass up to 4 months after the last injection.

If the person does not call back within the time allowed, his pass is deactivated. If she performs a booster dose beyond the deadline, a new QR code will be generated and this new pass will be valid one week after the injection. If the person carries out the reminder within the deadlines, the QR code generated during the previous vaccination will remain valid for seven days, so that they keep their pass without cutting. In all cases, seven days after the injection, it is the QR code of the booster vaccination which will act as a pass and which must be presented.

Plane, leisure… What are the activities covered by the vaccination pass?

All establishments hitherto concerned by the health pass are now subject to the vaccination pass:

However, some exceptions are provided for, in particular a trip for a compelling reason. A simple sanitary pass will then be sufficient. Only health facilities and services will be accessible through a single negative test. Employees working in the sectors mentioned above will be required to have a vaccination pass.

Can the vaccination pass be required as part of my job?

The vaccination pass does not become compulsory in all companies in France. On the other hand, employees who were until now subject to the health pass (restaurants, cafes, bars, cinemas, etc.) must now present a valid vaccination pass to continue to exercise their professional activity. Do not panic however, the text of the law provides for the conditions under which “a proof of commitment to a vaccination scheme is worth proof of vaccination status”, can we read.

What does the vaccination pass change for the company?

In addition to the implementation of the vaccination pass, the text of the law enacts other provisions in order to fight against fraud. The managers of the places and activities subject to the vaccination pass will be able to check the pass, and if necessary, the identity of the holder of the pass, “when there are serious reasons to believe that the document presented does not relate to the person who gave it. present”. The lack of control in an establishment open to the public will be punishable by a fine of 1,000 euros, from the first violation.
The presentation of a vaccination pass belonging to others exposes you to a fixed fine of 1,000 euros, against 135 euros at present.

Possession of a false pass will be punishable by five years’ imprisonment and a fine of 75,000 euros. Companies that do not play the telework game may be sanctioned with an administrative fine of up to 500 euros per employee, up to a limit of 50,000 euros.

Until when is the vaccination pass compulsory?

The Prime Minister specified that the pass could be lifted in the event of a decline in the epidemic. “As soon as the hospital pressure is low enough (…), we can confidently lift a certain number of measures which today aim to protect us and which would be deemed disproportionate”, added the Minister of Health, Olivier Veran. “We will apply the health pass for as long as necessary, but not longer than necessary”.

Asked again about the end of the application of the vaccine pass on Tuesday January 25, Olivier Véran indicated that it will not intervene at the beginning of February. “The vaccination pass is a tool that we still need,” he said. “I am not telling you that we are in a position today to lift the pass. We will keep it as long as there is a threat hanging over our hospitals. (…) Today, there are 3,770 patients in intensive care”.

What is the health pass?

The health pass is a control system put in place as part of the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. It aims to certify that the person presenting it is not a carrier of the virus. It must be presented by anyone from 12 years and two months to access most events of daily life: sport, culture, restaurants, entertainment, as well as to travel via main lines or within the European Union. Three documents can be presented as part of the health pass:

The health pass should be transformed in 2022 into a vaccination pass. The government announced in mid-December that it would table a bill to this effect in early January. This finally happened at the end of December, and the legislative process is underway. The government hopes that the adoption will be effective on January 15. The health pass would then disappear, but to be replaced by a more restrictive device. It would however remain active in a few situations, access to care and minors in particular.

The government has indeed decided to transfer as quickly as possible to this SNCF site the camp for drug addicts installed since the end of September at Porte de La Villette, on the edge of 19e arrondissement and Seine-Saint-Denis. “The SNCF has given its agreement to the State”, and “crack users can be oriented” to this new place as soon as a “secure fence” will have been asked, that is to say within a few weeks, announced the Prefecture of police, on the evening of Tuesday, January 25. A trip organized despite the fierce opposition of Anne Hidalgo, the socialist mayor of Paris.

“Amazed”, the town hall hears “to obstruct this baroque decision”, and she obtained that a meeting be organized urgently, on February 1, with the other partners of the plan to fight against crack, the prefecture of Ile-de-France and the regional health agency. More surprisingly, the deputy La République en Marche (LRM) for the constituency, Laetitia Avia, is also asking for the project to be suspended: “We must take care not to multiply points of insecurity in Paris, which is moreover in the district of Bercy, near facilities frequented by young people and families”, she wrote in a statement.

For the thirty years that crack appeared in the Paris region, the public authorities have been confronted with a recurring problem. “Because of a very strong dependence on the product generating the need to consume and re-consume on the spot”, dealers and drug addicts gather in the public space, explains the National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm). This led to the creation, in the North-East of Paris, of a kind of open-air “crack market”, frequented by a few hundred drug addicts, often in great distress, sometimes violent. With Pokémon Legends Arceus, the franchise travels back in time to the origins of its history. Successful bet ?

With a scheduled release Friday, January 28, 2022, Pokemon Legends Arceus already aims to renew the cult license created by Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori. A major bet for this video game juggernaut, which has been struggling to reinvent itself for a few years. Anchored in a new temporality, on the borders of the medieval region of Hisui (former Sinnoh), has this unprecedented adventure allowed the game to evolve?

Pokémon finally offers a narrative at its height

The recipe for Pokémon games hasn’t really changed in 25 years, but it must be admitted that it is largely the charm of the video game saga. For Nintendo, the challenge was therefore to succeed in reinventing the franchise, without losing its original salt. A sizeable bet, which the firm takes up via a ambitious semi-open world RPG.

The narrative frame first, without revolutionizing the genre, offers us a real change compared to previous opuses. The different temporality of the game allowed some fantasies, it is clear that Nintendo was able to take advantage of it, with a original and effective plot. Unlike many episodes before it, Pokemon Legends Arceus offers an adventure tinged with mysteries, which even after several hours continues to raise certain questions. The introduction in particular has the merit of plunging us into a hitherto unknown universe, and of surprising us, even in the choice of starters.

Relieved of the stakes of the main episodes, Pokemon Legends Arceus is also an opportunity to address a subject often relegated to the background in the franchise: lore. Generally confined to Legendaries, and without much impact on the rest of the adventure, this nevertheless fundamental aspect of the license finally offers all the interest it deserves. It must be said that in Sinnoh in particular, the legends of the Pokémon world have a central place. It is indeed in this region that the god Arceus emerges from the original nothingness to give birth to Dialga and Palkia, capable of controlling time and space respectively. A fundamental biblical episode in the history of the game.

If Hisui therefore offers itself substantially the same geography as the episodes Diamond, Pearl and Platinum (then later the remakes Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearls), this trip to the past of the license is therefore an opportunity to discover the region in a totally different light. Right here, no tournaments or arena champions, the objective is to help Professor Lavender to list all the Pokémon in the area to create the first Pokédex in history. A titanic task, which will push the main character to join the Galaxy Group (the same one that, a few centuries later, will try to rule the world), and to meet the Diamond and Pearl Clans to investigate the mysterious Pokémon Monarchs. Between lore and fan-service, the title is thus an opportunity to discover more in depth the origins of a universe that we thought we knew by heart.

Let’s take a walk in Hisui

Far from the often very linear gameplay of its predecessors, Pokemon Legends Arceus offers us a vast open world to explore. It was also one of the main promises of the game, before we finally realized that the latter would in fact be broken up into several distinct areas. If many feared seeing their momentum for adventure slowed down by this detail, it is clear that Game Freak has succeeded very well: although independent of each other, these enclosed spaces constitute a playground big enough for our ambitions of trainers.

It is finally with pleasure that we quickly find ourselves wandering in the marshes of the Plateau Tourbeux, or along the Digue de l’Estuaire. Each area has its own environment, and therefore its own Pokémon, which will change depending on the weather or the time of day. In addition to offering a rather nice contemplative dimension, the game also allows a nice diversity in the approach of wild Pokémon. It is thus possible to engage in turn-based combat, or to attempt a capture by surprise, which adds a real challenge to the exercise. Be careful, some species more aggressive than others will not hesitate to directly attack the playable character, who now has his own reserve of life. Coupled with the disappearance of surprise encounters in tall grass, this renewal of the gameplay turns out to be rather beneficial for the game, to the point that even after about ten hours, you never get tired of the exercise.

With ambitions at the height of Mont Couronné, Pokemon Legends Arceus however suffers from several incomprehensible flaws on a game of this magnitude. Starting with the artistic direction of Hisui, which without being missed, is frankly not up to what we expect in 2022. It’s hard not to play the comparison with The Legend of Zelda : Breath of The Wild, yet released nearly five years earlier. Deprived of textures, atmospheric elements and a good number of details, the world sometimes seems very empty, to the point of being sorely lacking in dimension.

In certain enclosed spaces in particular, the observation is almost painful to see as we sometimes have the impression of being in a pre-production environment intended for developers. There are also a number of visual bugs, mainly in combat in aquatic and swampy environments, or when trying to climb a rock. On the sidelines of its ambitions and its many qualities, Pokemon Legends Arceus suffers from certain failures that are difficult to forgive, but also from a few absences which nevertheless seem essential to any RPG. To start with the non-existent mini-map, which forces us to consult the map regularly so as not to get lost on the way. Let’s hope on this point that Nintendo will review its copy in the first updates of the title.

To the delight of completists

Pokémon fans know it, it is once the main adventure is over that the titles of the license take on their full interest. By relegating the fights to the background, Game Freak finally offers the budding Jacky Léon the possibility of becoming Pokémon observers, rather than following the path of the unbearable Sacha. Finally a role that lives up to our ambitions: in addition to having to complete the very first Pokédex in the history of Hisui, it will also be necessary carry out several hundred observation missions to understand the pocket monsters around us. The task is long, but imposes itself as a true epic for those who will accept it.

Because this trip to the past of the franchise is also an opportunity to discover several new creatures. In addition to a few species never before observed, Pokemon Legends Arceus also full of regional forms, whose appearance and skills adapted to Hisui’s surroundings. The idea is not new, since since Alola in Pokemon Sun and Moon, these special variations have become a must for games. However, their discovery is always just as exhilarating, to the point that we want more.

The age of maturity

Despite several flaws that we would have done without, Pokemon Legends Arceus is however far from disappointing us. Without denying its origins, the title succeeds in the bet of renew certain mechanics that have been immutable until now, such as mastering certain abilities, or adding “styles” of combat which make it possible to adapt its play to the adversary. Beneficial changes for the franchise, which finally seems to realize that its first-hour fans have now passed their thirties, and that they no doubt aspire to a little more strategy.

However, the game does not exclude the new generation, since some challenges will offer to adapt their level of difficulty after a first defeat. However, the expedition now wants to be more autonomous. While Game Freak had the unfortunate habit of holding our hands throughout the journey, this new opus manages to mature the codes of the license, now leaving more room for wild exploration and numerous side quests. Even the fights, if they are more anecdotal in the story, gain in difficulty. The Monarchs in particular, now abandon turn-based for epic clashes that are closer to the mechanics of franchise bosses like The Legend of Zelda or of Mario. On this point in particular, however, we regret that the ingame commands are struggling to follow, especially when it comes to dodging.

The open world also offers us its share of challenges and good surprises. Starting with the presence of Pokémon Monarchs in the wild on the map, who will not hesitate to kill you if you have the misfortune to cross their path a little too early in the adventure. Crafting and survival, without revolutionizing the game, also make it possible to bring a new dimension to the title, by requiring better management of its stock of objects, but also its level of health. So many new features that sound like a return to basics for Nintendo, which is taking advantage of this time travel to renew a license that has remained in the past for too long.

A probable civil trial in New York for Prince Andrew: accused of sexual assault, the second son of Queen Elizabeth asks to defend himself before a jury for acts he allegedly committed in 2001 on a minor American at the era.

In a documented document made public on Wednesday, January 26, by his lawyers and the Manhattan Federal Court, “Prince Andrew hereby demands a trial by jury on all grounds asserted in the complaint” in civil proceedings filed in August 2021 by Virginia Giuffre, 38, who accuses the prince of having sexually assaulted her three times in 2001.

In Andrew’s entourage in London, we confirm: “it just means the case will be settled in court”.

After multiple attempts in recent months to block and dismiss Mr.me Giuffre, Prince Andrew, 61, who lives deprived of any official role and deprived of all his military titles, therefore seems to have resolved to be tried in civil court, in a trial which will inevitably have a huge impact for the British royal family. .

Andrew did not

As he always has them “categorically” denied, Prince Andrew contests point by point in the legal document of his lawyers the accusations of Mme Giuffre. The latter, born Virginia Roberts and who now resides in Australia, was the victim of the American financier Jeffrey Epstein, who committed suicide in prison in 2019, and of his British accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, found guilty in December in New York of sex trafficking of minors.

Prince Andrew is accused by Mme Giuffre of sexual assaults in London, New York and the US Virgin Islands, residences of sexual predator couple Epstein-Maxwell, when she was 17.

The increasingly likely prospect of a civil trial in New York does not preclude the two parties from finding a financial compensation agreement. Although Mr.me Giuffre, David Boies, had warned two weeks ago on the BBC that a simple transaction would not satisfy his client.

According to the British press, the prince recently settled a dispute over a debt of 6.6 million pounds sterling (nearly 8 million euros), which will allow him to sell a chalet in Switzerland that he had acquired in 2014 , for a sum which would amount to 18 million pounds (21 million euros).

A trial in New York could be held at the end of the year.

Civil trial at the end of 2022?

In the fall of 2021, Manhattan court judge Lewis Kaplan, who on January 12 rejected the last princely appeal, said that a civil trial would take place. “between September and December” 2022.

According to New York lawyers, Andrew will first have to give a sworn statement in the office of a lawyer, probably in the United Kingdom, and answer questions from American counsel for the plaintiff. Her answers will then be submitted as evidence before a jury to decide on financial compensation for the complainant. According to experts, the prince will certainly have to appear at one time or another, otherwise he will risk being tried in absentia and in a manner “unfavorable”.

On the other hand, the civil complaint of Virginia Giuffre cannot be automatically converted into criminal proceedings for sexual crimes. Even if nothing prevents in the future that US federal prosecutors bring criminal charges against Andrew if they believe that he may indeed have committed a crime and that he is not barred.

Despite a higher than ever number of cases and rising hospitalizations, Denmark announced on Wednesday January 26 that it would lift all its internal anti-Covid restrictions on February 1. The country considers its high vaccination coverage sufficient in the face of the lesser severity of the Omicron variant. “We say goodbye to restrictions and welcome to life as we knew it before corona”, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said at a press conference. The Nordic country is the first in the European Union to take the plunge despite the wave of the Omicron variant.

“The strong adherence to the vaccine program has proven to be what we thought: a ‘super-weapon’, and it has given us a strong defense against remaining infection”, justified the head of government. “This is why the government has decided that the coronavirus should no longer be considered a threatening disease for society”, she added.

The end of this designation in fact entails the lifting from February 1 of all the national restrictions currently in force, such as the use of the health pass, the wearing of a mask or the early closing of bars and restaurants. The Danish government only wants to maintain certain restrictions on entering the territory, namely testing and/or quarantine depending on immunity status, for another four weeks.

The US central bank has signaled its intention to raise its key rates in March, noting the improvements on the employment front and high inflation which could persist.

The Federal Reserve’s (Fed) monetary policy committee “is of the view to raise the federal funds rate at the March meeting, assuming conditions are appropriate to do so,” the chairman said. institution, Jerome Powell, during a press conference, without specifying the extent of this planned increase.

This unusually precise comment came to supplement the press release published earlier, at the end of the regular meeting of the institution.

The Fed had indicated that it would raise rates “soon”, while adding that it would end its asset purchases – a sine qua non for raising rates – “in early March”, just before its next meeting.

And the institution is, said Mr. Powell, ready to reduce “earlier” and “perhaps faster” than after the 2008 crisis, its balance sheet, inflated by two years of asset purchases. In other words, let them reach their maturity without renewing them.

Key rates had been lowered to a range of 0 to 0.25% in March 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic spread to the United States, plunging the economy into the doldrums. The objective was to support consumption.

But now the priority is to slow inflation. By raising rates, the Fed wants to moderate demand.

If Jerome Powell bets on a slowdown in inflation in 2022, this should however take time. He also warned of the “risk of prolonged high inflation”. “There is a risk that it will accelerate even more”, he even estimated.

– Wall Street reaction –

Because the global supply difficulties which cause delays and shortages and drive up prices, will not be resolved by the end of the year, he judged, even if progress should be “made during of the second semester.

The prospect of a rate hike had unscrewed European markets Monday and Wall Street had plunged to the lowest in months.

On Wednesday, the Nasdaq initially climbed more than 3% before a more subdued reaction, and Wall Street finally ended the session in disarray.

This less accommodating posture of the Fed pushed up the dollar against the euro, which fell to its lowest level in six weeks at 1.1249 dollars per euro (-0.46%) around 8:00 p.m. GMT.

The announcement, however, was not a surprise. The Fed had groomed the ground at its previous meeting in mid-December, announcing that it would end its asset purchases earlier than expected.

It had also, for the first time, ceased to describe this inflation as “temporary”.

Prices have climbed 7% in 2021, their fastest pace since 1982, according to the CPI index. The Fed favors another indicator of inflation, the PCE index, whose data for 2021 will be published on Friday.

– Debt of developing countries –

The Fed had so far been cautious on increases, fearing that this would slow down the economic recovery too abruptly and, by extension, the job market.

But the latter is now “very, very strong and my deep feeling is that we can raise rates without seriously hurting it,” said the chairman of the powerful Federal Reserve.

Jerome Powell, however, did not mention the persistent inequalities on this front, and in particular a still much higher unemployment rate among black Americans. However, the Fed insisted regularly, at the start of the economic recovery, on the “inclusive” job market that its officials wanted to achieve before considering raising rates.

“Job gains have been solid in recent months and the unemployment rate has fallen significantly,” noted in its statement the Fed, one of whose two mandates is to promote full employment.

The country has now almost returned to full employment, with the unemployment rate falling in December to 3.9%, close to its pre-crisis level (3.5%), with a labor shortage which places employees in a position of strength in relation to employers.

Raising rates is proving to be a delicate task since the risk is also to slow down growth.

In addition, outside the United States, too rapid a rate hike could penalize emerging and developing countries, whose debt is denominated in dollars, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has been warning for months.

Five people were arrested on Tuesday January 25 and Wednesday January 26 by the gendarmes in the Poitiers and Lyon sectors, as part of an investigation into the trafficking of 62,000 false health passes, the national gendarmerie said in a press release. Three of the defendants, aged 22 to 29, are suspected of being computer hackers and of having usurped the identity of 35 doctors throughout France to create fraudulent vaccination certificates. They then resold them directly to their beneficiaries or to accomplices acting as resellers.

The investigation is being carried out jointly by the gendarmes of the Poitiers research section, the Central Office for the fight against damage to the environment and public health (Oclaesp) and the Command of the gendarmerie in cyberspace (Comcybergend ) under the direction of an investigating judge from the cybercrime division of the Paris court.

The Paris public prosecutor’s office indicates that this judicial investigation has been open since December 15, 2021 in this file, for “fraudulent access and maintenance in an automated data processing system”, “data instruction” in such a system, “false” and “use of false administrative documents”, “possession of false administrative documents”, “aggravated money laundering” and “criminal association”.

A vast operation was launched on Tuesday January 25 and Wednesday January 26, in the morning, within the framework of two related investigations carried out in Lyon and Paris, on the manufacture of several tens of thousands of false sanitary passes, established from diversions professional accounts of a nurse and a doctor.

Eight suspects were arrested and placed in police custody in Lyon, under a judicial investigation opened by the specialized interregional jurisdiction (JIRS) of Lyon, on January 19. According to a judicial source, five other suspected forgers were arrested in the Paris region and in the Lyon region, under the authority of an investigating judge seized by the cyber section of the Paris prosecutor’s office, on December 15, 2021. The suspects, including some are common to both files, are suspected of having participated in a network of production and distribution of false documents to justify vaccination against Covid-19.

According to information from World, the case started from the complaint of a nurse, filed in early December 2021 at the Angers police station. The professional was alerted by the Order of Nurses of the Loire and by a doctor from the Primary Health Insurance Fund (CPAM), on the massive delivery of vaccine passes from the data of his professional account, probably hacked. According to the nurse’s complaint, his account was used to establish in his name more than 54,000 false health passes throughout the national territory, in the space of less than a month, between November and December 2021, while that the nurse had not performed any vaccinations.

The manipulation could have taken place at the end of November

Investigations carried out by several investigative services – research section of the Poitiers gendarmerie and Angers judicial police – have made it possible to collect telephone numbers and digital addresses used in the alleged misappropriation of the nurse’s professional account. The manipulation could have taken place at the end of November. The caregiver noticed that his account was blocked. He got new login codes from the order of nurses by email.

By recovering the Angers nurse’s connection keys from e-mail boxes, the alleged crooks were able to connect with the e-CPS application, reserved for health professionals for the creation of health passes. A few days later, the CPAM de la Loire reported the use of his name in thousands of vaccinations against Covid-19.
